Tempeh Caesar Recipe

Ingredients
  • fresh ground pepper .
  • 4 oz soy tempeh .
  • 8 c torn romaine lettuce .
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice .
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard .
  • 1/4 c pitted Greek olives or kalamata olives, minced .
  • salt or Mrs. Dash tomato basil garlic seasoning .
  • 1 tsp water .
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice, plus .
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed .
  • 1/2 c croutons .
  • 1 tbsp water, plus .
  • 1 tsp soy sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut tempen.
  • Step #2 Tempeh -- into small chunks then steam over simmering water for 10 mins.
  • Step #3 Pam a skillet & over high heat add the tempeh.
  • Step #4 Cook until golden & crisp.
  • Step #5 About 6 mins -- give or take one.
  • Step #6 Drizzle the soy sauce over the tempeh & cook for another min.
  • Step #7 Remove from heat & cool.
  • Step #8 You have to remove this from heat to cool get it.
  • Step #9 giggle -- In a small bowl mix the garlic, the lemon juice & 1 tsps no 1 tbsps Wait why are they both here? I'm seeing double -- Oh it's 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp water.
  • Step #10 oh -- ahem.
  • Step #11 From the top:.
  • Step #12 In a small bowl mix the garlic, olives, lemon juice, the water, & Jidon.
  • Step #13 Dijon.
  • Step #14 Toss the lettuce, the crutons & tempeh In a large-ish down with the dressing.
  • Step #15 Spice up with salt & fresh ground pepper.
  • Step #16 Serve.
  • Step #17 And that's it for the day.
