Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients
  • sea salt .
  • 1 large sirloin steak .
  • 1 (8 oz) package of softened cream cheese .
  • 1 (12 oz) package wide egg noodles .
  • onion powder .
  • 1/2 c dry white wine (for marinade) .
  • garlic powder, & .
  • milk, as needed for thinning agent .
  • 1 (10 1/4 oz) can Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup .
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz) jar sliced mushrooms, drained .
  • pepper .
  • 3 tbsps canola oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Trim sirloin steak of any fat & thinly slice into 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces, cutting across the grain.
  • Step #2 Spice up with garlic & onion powder.
  • Step #3 Put sliced steak into large zip lock bag with 1/2 c dry white wine.
  • Step #4 Refrigerate for 1 hr.
  • Step #5 While water is boiling for the wide egg noodles prepare the sirloin steak.
  • Step #6 Brown sirloin steak in 3 tbsps of oil In a large-ish skillet until all of the fluid evaporates.
  • Step #7 Add sliced mushrooms & saute for a bit.
  • Step #8 Put can of soup into meat & mushrooms letting it come to a bubble.
  • Step #9 Let simmer, stirring every once in awhile while the noodles are cooking, about 10 mins.
  • Step #10 Take off the heat & add cut up softened cream cheese, stirring it well into the meat & soup mixture.
  • Step #11 If it seems too thick add some milk to thin until it reaches the consistency you like.
  • Step #12 Salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #13 Put on top of egg noodles.
  • Step #14 Serve with salad & warmed french bread.
  • Step #15 Obviously if you have more time you can use freshly sliced mushrooms, onion & garlic.
  • Step #16 You may also use fat free cream cheese making it a little more diet friendly for those watching their weight.
