Ingredients
1/2 c nonfat plain yogurt .
salt .
4 garlic cloves .
1 lb dried garbanzo beans .
1/4 c extra virgin olive oil .
1/2 c lemon juice
Directions
Step #1 Rinse & sort chick peas.
Step #2 Let soak 6-8 hrs.
Step #3 Drain soaked peas.
Step #4 Simmer over med-heat/flame 1.
Step #5 5-2 hrs or until tender.
Step #6 Drain, reserving liquid.
Step #7 Add all ingredients together in a food processor/blender & puree until desired consistency is reached.
Step #8 The reserved liquid from the beans can be added in small amounts until the hummus is smooth enough.
Step #9 Note: The ingredients listed can be varied depending on your tastes.
Step #10 Also, try adding a dash of cayenne & letting the mixture sit over night for a kick :).
Step #11 One serving is about 1/4-1/2°C.
