Reheating Cooked Shellfish Recipe

Ingredients
  • water (for steaming) .
  • 3/4-1 lb king crab legs (whole or split) or maine lobsters or dungeness crabs or snow crab

Directions
  • Step #1 Thaw seafood, rinse & pat dry on paper towels.
  • Step #2 To Steam: place one inch of water In a large-ish pot, bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 Place shellfish in a steaming rack or colander & lower into boiling water - if the bottom of the rack goes below the level of the water, empty out some of the water as you don't want your shellfish to be sitting in water.
  • Step #4 You may have to break crab legs to fit into the pot.
  • Step #5 Cover up pot & cook as follows:.
  • Step #6 Snow crab legs or claws - 5 mins.
  • Step #7 King Crab legs (whole or split) - 8 mins.
  • Step #8 Maine lobster or Dungeness crab - 10 mins.
  • Step #9 In Oven: preheat your trusty oven to 400°.
  • Step #10 Wrap clean, thawed shellfish in foil wrap, forming a tent.
  • Step #11 Place in oven for 20 mins.
  • Step #12 Remember, you are only reheating, not cooking your frozen, thawed shellfish.
  • Step #13 Serve with melted herb, or garlic, or plain butter.
