Ingredients
1 1/2 tbsps butter .
2 1/2 c all-purpose flour .
melted butter .
1 tbsp sugar .
coarse salt .
1/4 tsp baking soda .
1 (1/4 oz) package dry yeast .
2 tbsps dill seeds .
1 tsp salt .
1/4 c warm water (105˚,,, to 115˚,,,) .
1 large egg, slightly beaten .
1 c small curd cottage cheese .
1 tbsp minced dried onions .
1 tbsp sugar
Directions
Step #1 Combine first 8 ingredients in a small saucepan.
Step #2 Cook over med.
Step #3 heat until butter melts, stirring every once in awhile.
Step #4 Let cool to 105 degrees to 115 degrees.
Step #5 Combine yeast, 1 t.
Step #6 sugar, & warm water in a 1-c liquid measuring c let this stand 5 mins.
Step #7 Combine cottage cheese mixture, yeast mixture, & flour; stir well.
Step #8 (Dough will be sticky).
Step #9 Cover up & let rise in a warm place (85 degrees) free from drafts, 45 mins or until doubled in bulk.
Step #10 Stir dough down, & spoon into a well-greased 2-qt.
Step #11 casserole or any other round baking dish.
Step #12 Cover up & let rise in a warm place, 30 mins or until doubled in bulk.
Step #13 Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins or until brown.
Step #14 Brush with melted butter, & sprinkle lightly with coarse salt.
Step #15 Remove from dish; cool on a wire rack.
