Apple Nut Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c sliced nuts
  • 3/4 c Buttermilk
  • 1/4 c Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ts Cinnamon
  • 3 c Self-rising flour
  • 1 c Brown sugar
  • 1/4 ts Nutmeg
  • 1 ts Grated lemon peel
  • 2 c Grated apple

Directions
  • Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 350.
  • Step #2 Grease & flour a shallow glass or metal baking pan.
  • Step #3 (maybe an 8 x 11 size) cream butter & sugar together.
  • Step #4 Beat in eggs.
  • Step #5 mix in another bowl flour, apples, lemon peel, nuts, cinnamon & nutmeg.
  • Step #6 Mix well.
  • Step #7 Mix into creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
  • Step #8 pour this into baking pan.
  • Step #9 bake this until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step #10 About 30 mins.
  • Step #11 Cool before eating.
  • Step #12 Cut into squares to serve.
  • Step #13 If microwaved, approximately 12-15 mins.
