Cheddar Cheese Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tb Olive oil
  • 4 Tomatoes; sliced thinly
  • 8 sl White bread
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 md Size eggs
  • 250 g Cheddar cheese; thinly sliced
  • 15 g Unsalted butter;
  • 1 250 gram pac smoked ham; thin slices

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 180 C, 350 F, Gas Mark 4, Lightly butter the bread.
  • Step #2 On four slices, place a slice of cheese, then the ham followed by four slices of tomato.
  • Step #3 Spice up this with salt & pepper.
  • Step #4 Place the remaining bread on top & press down lightly.
  • Step #5 Break the eggs into a bowl & whisk.
  • Step #6 In a medium size frying pan, carefully heat the oil.
  • Step #7 Dip two sandwiches at a time into the egg mixture & coat both sides.
  • Step #8 Fry quickly in the oil for 40 seconds on each side.
  • Step #9 Repeat the process for the remaining toasties.
  • Step #10 Place on an oven tray in the preheated oven for 2-3 mins.
  • Step #11 Remove & slide onto plates.
  • Step #12 Serve as soon as possible.
