Cherry Upside Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pk Frozen puff pastry; thawed
  • 1 cn Cherry pie filling; drained
  • 2 tb Water
  • 1 c Confectioners' sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 400F degrees F.
  • Step #2 Cut each sheet of puff pastry into four squares.
  • Step #3 Place equal amounts of cherry pie filling in the center of each square.
  • Step #4 Brush the edges with water & fold in half diagonally.
  • Step #5 Seal & crimp the edges with a fork.
  • Step #6 Bake on ungreased baking sheets for 15 to 18 mins, or until puffed & golden.
  • Step #7 Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the confectioners' sugar and water; mix well.
  • Step #8 Drizzle over the warm turnovers & serve.
  • Step #9 NOTE: You can use cherry or your favorite fruit-flavored pie filling.
