Deviled Ham Muffins Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 c milk
  • 2 tbsps finely sliced carrot
  • 2 c biscuit/baking mix
  • 1/2 c shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (4.5 oz) can deviled ham spread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsps finely sliced celery
  • 2 tbsps finely sliced onion
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 In a small skillet, saute the carrot, celery & onion in butter until tender.
  • Step #2 Remove from the heat; stir in the ham & set aside.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl, mix the biscuit mix & sugar.
  • Step #4 Whisk the egg & milk; stir in theto dry ingredients just until moistened.
  • Step #5 Fold in cheese.
  • Step #6 Fill greased or paper-lined muffin c three-fourths full.
  • Step #7 Make an indentation in the center of each muffin; fill with 1 tbsp ham mixture.
  • Step #8 Bake at 400F degrees F for 15-17 mins or until a toothpick inserted in muffin comes out clean.
  • Step #9 Cool for 5 mins before removing from pan to a wire rack.
  • Step #10 Serve warm.
