Chocolate Layer Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c Chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ---CRUST------
  • 5 tb Butter; melted

Directions
  • Step #1 --FILLING----- 2 lb Cream cheese; softened 1 c Sugar 3 tb Flour 4 Eggs 1 c Sour cream 1 tb Vanilla 3 Squares baking chocolate; -melted 1 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips Heat oven to 350 F.
  • Step #2 Mix crumbs & butter.
  • Step #3 Press into bottom of 10-inch springform pan.
  • Step #4 Bake 10 mins.
  • Step #5 Beat cream cheese, sugar, & flour at medium until well mixed.
  • Step #6 Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step #7 mix in sour cream & vanilla.
  • Step #8 Divide batter in half.
  • Step #9 To one half, stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Step #10 Pour this over the crust & bake for 30 mins.
  • Step #11 Meanwhile, slowly stir in the melted baking chocolate & mix until completely mixed.
  • Step #12 Pour remaining batter over first layer.
  • Step #13 Lower oven to 325F F & bake for an extra 30 to 40 mins.
  • Step #14 Turn oven off.
  • Step #15 Do not remove cake, but let it cool down slowly with the oven.
  • Step #16 Loosen cake from the rim of the pan; cool before removing the rim.
  • Step #17 I topped this with homemade whipped cream & chocolate shavings.
  • Step #18 Not a low fat dessert, but you just need a tiny piece to be satisfied.
