Ingredients
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 1 ts Cinnamon
  • 4 ts Cream of tartar
  • 2 Unbaked pie crusts
  • 1 Juice & grated rind of lemon
  • 40 Ritz crackers
  • 4 c Water
  • 1/4 ts Nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Make your favorite pie crust (top & bottom).
  • Step #2 Boil water,sugar and cream of tartar.
  • Step #3 Add whole crackers,1 at a time.
  • Step #4 Boil 2 mins.
  • Step #5 Add remaining ingredients.
  • Step #6 Cool.
  • Step #7 pour this into prepared pie shell.
  • Step #8 Cover with top crust.
  • Step #9 Slit top for steam vents.
  • Step #10 Bake @ 425F degrees for 10 mins.
  • Step #11 Reduce heat to 350 degrees.
  • Step #12 Continue to bake 20 to 25 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #13 remove this from oven.
  • Step #14 Cool.
  • Step #15 Makes 1 pie.
