Lemon Daisy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 tb Butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 c Milk Grated peel of 1 lemon
  • 2 c Sugar, divided 4 eggs, separated
  • 6 tb All-purpose flour
  • 2 tb Fresh lemon juice Confectioners' sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, butter & 1-1/2 c sugar.
  • Step #2 Beat egg yolks;add to mixing bowl along with milk & lemon peel.
  • Step #3 Mix well.
  • Step #4 Add lemon juice.
  • Step #5 In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, slowly adding remaining 1/2 c sugar while beating.
  • Step #6 Fold into batter.
  • Step #7 pour this into a greased 2-qt.
  • Step #8 baking dish or individual ramekins.
  • Step #9 place this in a shallow pan of hot water & bake this at 350! for 55-60 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #10 Serve warm or chilled with confectioners' sugar dusted on top.
  • Step #11 Yield: 6-8 servings.
