Apple-phyllo Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • Red pepper; crushed,to taste
  • 6 oz Frozen apple juice; thawed
  • 2 c Water
  • 1 3/4 oz Powdered fruit pectin; 1 pk
  • 1/8 ts Red food coloring
  • 3 3/4 c Sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir the water, apple juice concentrate & pectin in a 3-quart saucepan, until the pectin is dissolved.
  • Step #2 Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  • Step #3 Add the sugar & red pepper then heat to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.
  • Step #4 remove this from the heat & strain.
  • Step #5 Add the red food color.
  • Step #6 as soon as possible pour this into hot sterilized jars or glasses or freezer containers.
  • Step #7 Cover tightly & cool.
  • Step #8 put in the fridge no longer than 4 weeks or freeze no longer than 2 months.
  • Step #9 serve this with meat.
  • Step #10 Makes 4 half pints of jelly.
  • Step #11 GRAPE JELLY: Substitute 1 can (6 oz) of frozen grape juice concentrate for the apple juice concentrate.
  • Step #12 Omit the red pepper & food color.
  • Step #13 TANGERINE JELLY: Substitute 1 can (6 oz) frozen tangerine juice concentrate for the apple juice concentrate.
  • Step #14 Omit red pepper & food color.
