Loggers Bread Diana's Version Recipe

Ingredients
  • Syrup
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 c Oil
  • 1/2 c Honey
  • 1/2 c Powdered milk
  • 3/4 c Wheat germ
  • 1/2 c Shelled walnuts or pecans
  • 1 c Dried fruit
  • 1/4 c Sorghum syrup -- or maple
  • 1/4 c Brown sugar
  • 1/4 c Molasses

Directions
  • Step #1 Beat all the ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Step #2 Pat down into two greased 5 x 9 loaf pans.
  • Step #3 bake this at 275 for two hrs, or until a tester comes out clean.
  • Step #4 The bread will be very heavy & dense.
  • Step #5 Each loaf weighs 24 oz.
