Cold Cherry Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c cold water
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsps lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsps cornstarch
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 (16 oz) can pitted sour red pie cherries

Directions
  • Step #1 Drain the canned cherries; place liquid in medium sauce pan & set cherries aside.
  • Step #2 In a small mixing bowl mix cornstarch & cold water.
  • Step #3 Mix well & add to saucepan.
  • Step #4 Heat to boiling point & boil for 5 mins, stirring constantly.
  • Step #5 Add sugar & lemon juice.
  • Step #6 Stir & remove this from heat & chill.
  • Step #7 When this syrup is cool, mix in the sour cream & add the drained cherries.
  • Step #8 Chill well & serve in chilled c.
