Marinated Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 ts Freshly-ground black pepper
  • 2 tb Lemon juice
  • 2 tb Oil
  • 1 Clove garlick, pressed or minced
  • INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 tb sliced parsley
  • 2 tb Soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 lb Shark steaks
  • 2 tb Rice or wine vinegar

Directions
  • Step #1 minced green onions & parsley (TIP): Fish should be cooked only until it flakes easily.
  • Step #2 Check it often to prevent overcooking, which will not only make it rubbery, it will render it tasteless.
  • Step #3 A good way to check is to check it for opacity.
  • Step #4 When it has turned from translucent to white & opaque it's done.
  • Step #5 It will finish cooking on its own with residual heat if removed from the heat source.
  • Step #6 Fish is a high protein but low-calorie main dish.
  • Step #7 By using a light marinade you eliminate rich butter sauces and still maintain the delicate flavor.
  • Step #8 Cut the shark steaks into service-sized pieces.
  • Step #9 Place them in a glass dish.
  • Step #10 mix the soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, oil parsley, garlick & black pepper.
  • Step #11 Pour the marinade over the fish & marinate for half an hr, turning at least once.
  • Step #12 Remove the fish (reserving the marinade) & broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat - about four mins a side.
  • Step #13 Brush with the marinade before turning.
  • Step #14 serve this with minced green onions & parsley.
  • Step #15 Accompaniments: Rice and vegetable pilaf, leaf lettuce tossed with parsley-lemon dressing, and French or Italian sourdough bread.
