Creamed Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c grated Romano cheese
  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 dash ground black pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 In a medium saucepan over med-heat/flame, butter, mix milk, flour, salt & pepper.
  • Step #3 Stir constantly until a thick white sauce has formed.
  • Step #4 In a separate medium saucepan over boiling water, steam cabbage until tender but firm.
  • Step #5 In a small baking dish, alternate layers of sauce, cabbage & Romano cheese.
  • Step #6 Bake approximately 30 mins, until sauce & cheese are bubbly.
