Ingredients
  • 2 c scalded milk
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 c white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine eggs, sugar, cinnamon or nutmeg, vanilla, & salt.
  • Step #2 Add scalded milk a little at a time, so that you do not cook the eggs.
  • Step #3 When all is mixed, pour this into a 8 or 9 inch unbaked pie shell.
  • Step #4 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 mins or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
