Cherry Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 3 tbsps butter, melted
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 c fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 1 c white sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix 3/4 c sugar, baking powder, butter or margarine, salt, flour, & milk together.
  • Step #2 Place cherries in the bottom of a 9 inch square pan.
  • Step #3 Spread dough over cherries.
  • Step #4 In a small bowl, mix 1 c sugar & cornstarch.
  • Step #5 Stir in boiling water.
  • Step #6 Pour mixture over the dough.
  • Step #7 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 mins.
  • Step #8 Serve warm.
