What Would Brian Boitano Make
Has anyone watched this yet? I did for the first time today. I think I like it. Was refreshing to see some humor in a FN show. When I first saw the commercials for it I was thinking..why is an Olympic skater doing a cooking show?

My inner Beavis came out every time he said 'balls' or 'laid ees'. LOL

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I saw it and the jury is still out. Will have to see again before I decide!

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
Was out today so didn't see it..

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
Have to admit I tried to watch and ended up dozing through it. Since I love skating, I'll try to stay awake next time. I'd love to see how many different scenarios they can come up with...the appy looked good actually, that is all I can recall. I took Liv to see Brian when she was seven years old. We were so high in the stands, we had to use binoculars..she was so little and it was so late. She begged to leave before he skated. We saw Tara Lipinski and Katarina Witt and then Fred had to carry his little girl down the steps, sleeping on his shoulder as they announced Brian.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I haven't seen it - just the commercial yesterday. IT was funny. I didn't know he cooked?!

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
Didn't see it. I'm a HUGE ice sakting fan...wait, make that devoted...I'm not huge...lol

Anyway, my question is: Why do I CARE what Brian Boitano would make?

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
LOL, I was thinking the same thing when I watched the commercials for it. It was actually a pretty good show.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
He is so funny!!! And I actually learned something. (tip on the puff pastry rounds with the "rack" on top.) This bacon episode rocks.

I really am getting a kick out of the show. I've not laughed this much at a show in years.

The title "What would Brian Boitano make?" is from an epidsode of South Park when they were spoofing Brian in one of their shows. He is really spooging himself and I love the self-deprecating humor.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I caught it today and have to say.....FInally, something on Food Network that is humorous that doesn't have Guy in it!!!!!.........Loved it!!!!!!!

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
He made me laugh and I want to see more....of course that would be the kiss of death on TVFN....something I like staying on longer than one season.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
OK...you are convincing me...I'm gonna have to check it out. When?

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I actually like his show better than Melissa's. K enjoyed watching it with me. She would giggle when he would act silly. :)

It's on right after 10 Dollar Meals, Lori.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I like them both but it's great to see some humor on Food Network!!

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
And he acted silly a lot. I love the "not so serious" side of cooking. It was very enjoyable and the food looked good. I'd make every single one of the dishes.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I saw a commercial today that he is gonna be on tonight at 8 central. I don't know if it is a rerun of Sunday's or not.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
Sundays on Food Network are always reruns....I hardly watch stuff during the week but always catch up on everything on sundays.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I didn't realize he was on during the week. I thought this was a first time deal. It still says Unwrapped on the guide....

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
His chicken dish looked really good yesterday and those adorable pear tarts. I still like this show a lot. I've made coq au vin before and the purplish hue on the chicken was a huge turn off visually, but it sure tasted good. His dish looked way better than Guy's. And those almond tarts were great looking and I love that flavor combination of almond and pear. I hope he keeps them coming.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I've never had coq au vin but he made that dish look easy enough for even me to try! I loved the little pear tarts, too!

My kids even enjoy this show! I have to keep yesterday's recorded because Jess is taking a French class and she wants to see it. :)

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
They are repeating his shows already, it looks like they only made 4 of them. Darn.

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
Looks like Melissa is done for the time being also!

RE: What Would Brian Boitano Make
I didn't even see it this morning. I thought it was canceled....I really like that show.
