I watched it on and off yesterday, in between sleeping....lol...I couldn't really get into it...don't like the spirit of the competition (or lack thereof).
I watched some of the previous season the week before...found it funny that Aron Sanchez was a competitor, as well as the guy he is on Chef vs City with; and Aron didn't make it to Iron Chef, yet he can be a judge on Chopped...
And one of the other Chopped judges (Freitag) is a contestant this year...
And NOW they have given Evil Alex from Chopped a show of her own...gimme a break...does anyone dislike her as much as I do? She ALWAYS has to have something BAD to say..."I found the prunes a little large..." or "That salsa on top was like someone just tripped and spilled salsa on top, no thought was put into it..." Geeeeesh...
I watched FN yesterday for the first time in ages and ages...I know I slept off and on, but I didn't see Melissa, or a commercial for her...is she gone? Didn't see Brian Boitano either...

Alex had a show last year too called Cooking Loft....Didn't like it at first but gotta say, I love the way she describes and talks about food....Happy to see her with another show.
I think I read somewhere that they only shoot 6 shows for the winner and if it's a "hit" for them, they are asked to come back the following year....Don't quite me on that though.

That said.....it still snookered me into watching the IC challenge and I really don't like Chef Mehta. I truthfully am rooting for Chef Garces to beat his behind tomorrow. I don't usually get riled up over a contestant (LOL) think my diatribe against Debbie in Next FNS. But I don't like Mehta's snobbery and scheming devious ways.

Seemed to me that Bobby Flay gave several "eye-rolls" to Michael Symon's comments. (And I thought he made some good points - I like him, he's always laughing and seems like a good guy). They were on the same team at the Thanksgiving IC Challenge, and it seemed that Bobby was giving the eye-roll when they'd make a good comment about one of Symon's dishes. It was subtle, but it was there. That irks me. So unprofessional...and I like BF. Just wondering what his deal is.
