I have seen some for sale, but haven't tired them, so I don't know if they are the same thing or not. To me it is more fun making stuff like that anyway.

My Mom & Dad (from the East Coast of New Brunswick, Canada) used to get this at Christmastime in their socks. It was called Barley Toys because it was made from barley sugar, clear, hard candy, made in the shapes of "toys". Took forever to eat, but boy, was it good! You can do a search on "Barley Toy Candy Recipe" and you might come up with another version... I haven't had it in YEARS!!!!
