Barley Sugar Candy
Hi!

I use to get a lolly pop way back when that was called Barley Sugar Candy. Would anyone happen to have a recipe for it?? I would love to be able to make them as part of Christmas gifts. I have seen some for sale, but haven't tired them, so I don't know if they are the same thing or not. To me it is more fun making stuff like that anyway.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

RE: Barley Sugar Candy
I've never had Barley Sugar Candy, however, I did find a recipe for it to be used in lollipops at Recipelinks.com. Here is the link to the recipe.

I hope this helps.

Barley Toy
Hi Leigh! I know exactly what you're refering to! My Mom & Dad (from the East Coast of New Brunswick, Canada) used to get this at Christmastime in their socks. It was called Barley Toys because it was made from barley sugar, clear, hard candy, made in the shapes of "toys". Took forever to eat, but boy, was it good!
You can do a search on "Barley Toy Candy Recipe" and you might come up with another version...
I haven't had it in YEARS!!!!
