That seems to be the one I like the most, mainly as I only remember having adorn and spaghetti. The flavor is what I like the most with it. It has a flavor that, to me, tastes quite a bit like pumpkin, which I do like, but normally in bread or pie, not a dish to have with a meal. MY recipe for a sauce or whipped squash To make this dish, cut the squash length wise, simmer, steam, bake or however you can get it cooked...your preference. Scoop the pulp from the shell and stir in your preferred seasonings, like pumpkin pie spice. Add some butter and stir. You could also add a bit of heavy cream or even milk, if you like. You can just stir together or mash/whip, depending on what you like. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do this, as long as you like the results. Just remember the basics, cooked squash and spice, blended together. The rest is to you.

When I served it I would tell her it was pumpkin and she would eat it. It wasn't until she was 14 when she learned the truth, that she had been eating butternut squash all those years. Now she eats squash any way that it's prepared and tells her own kids that they're crazy for not liking it. I think my grandkids are due for some of grandma's special pumpkin.
