I AM TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO SEND COOKIES TO MY SON IN THE NAVY.
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR ME TO DO THIS SO THEY WILL NOT BE DRIED OUT OR STALE? I APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE HE IS GONE OVERSEAS FOR A YEAR OR SO.

Send him all the dry ingredients in a jar with a ribbon and the instructions attached. Send extra in case he needs to bribe the ship's galley cheif for a couple of the wet ingredients. Rotate the variety of dry ingredients to keep them looking forward to the next batch. It's a wonderful link to keep him actively thinking of family and friends. Please add my gratitude for his service to this country.

Cookie Shipping Advice
I looked up some sites for you to check of types of cookies etc... and shipping advice.
I like Pointsevenout's suggestion for sending a cookie in a jar idea, there area many of those here in this group posted already.

Please add my name to the Gratitude list to your son.

the way a bakery sends cookies to me is.. first stack them a dozen high. then what I would do because of the time lapse is to use your food saver and vacuum seal the cookies.. Then what they did was double wrap the stack in bubble wrap.. I never had any broken cookies.. Hope that helps
