I love most Asian foods, though I'm still learning a lot of the ingredients. Usually I come across a recipe that requires something "foreign" to me, so I buy the ingredient (not always an easy task...) and try the recipe out. As a result, I end up with left -over miso, sake, bok choy, kimchee, wasabi....mirin, flavoured rice wines....You get the idea...... ...which I use for marinades durring BBQ season, or on pork ribs..... It's a wonderful way to learn how to use (and how to NOT use) foreign ingredients, and it doesn't apply to only Asian ones... Thanks for setting up the group, Julesong! I hope I can add a few good recipes for you :)
