Milk Sub.
Hey...I cannot find the PERFECT milk sub. I really dislike milk and have tried some soy milk and Rice Dream. The Vanilla soy milk that I tried was kinda gross and the Rice Dream was way too sweat.

Please help o.O

Milk...to sub or not to sub
I'm guessing that you just recently gave up "real" milk (i.e. from an animal). Here are some tips (my opinions only)

There is no PERFECT substitute. Animals are animals and plants are plants. Most milk substitutes are sweetened (and in my opinion, over-sweetened). You can buy UNSWEETENED soy milk in places like Whole Foods and Wild Oats. I find this is best for savory dishes and regular (sweetened) works fine for sweet things and baked goods.

If you really want to DRINK milk - wait about a year. By then, you'll forget what real milk tastes like and rice, soy etc. won't be so bad. Just don't expect it to have that creamy, white color.

Personally, I prefer a good cup of tea over milk. I eat cereal dry with my tea (different cups !) and it's a crunchy treat.

Good luck on your milky quest.

What for?
I agree with sederob. I've never been a big milk drinker and don't miss it at all. Years of diary consumption is probably responsible for some of my allergies and health problems.
I drink my coffee black since I am vegan, which is a much better experience once you get used to it. For breakfast cereals I use soy milk or soy yogurt (yofo). In cooking we use soy milk, soy cream, rice milk or coconut milk, depending on the recipe.

RE: Milk Sub.
Soy milk brands vary tremendously in taste. It took us about five different failures before we found a few we liked. Trader Joe's carries Soy Dream organic soy milk, Costco has a house brand organic that we like. Soy Dream and Rice Dream are worlds apart. Plain soy milk is usually not sweetened nearly so much as vanilla. Good luck to you in your search.

Oat Milk, Almond Milk & Coconut Milk
I really like to use oat or almond milk in things like cereal, as well as for making stuff like pudding, though if large quantities are involved and/or you want something richer, substituting half with coconut milk works well. Coconut milk is also great in things like cakes and frostings, though the flavor can be too overpowering sometimes if the recipe is not strongly flavored with something else, like chocolate.
