Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
Here's a thread for Rachael Ray stuff... :)

RE: Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
I love RR. She gives me inspiration and alot of her dishes I make for the 'crowd' here at home turn into favorites.
I got her 365: No Repeats Mother's Day 2006. I love it. I've posted a couple of recipes from it and plan on posting more.
Now that you have made this group I will get to work on it!

I know she drives a lotta people nuts, but I really like Rachael. :) She hasn't really taught me much about cooking, but I think she's genuine and adorable.

Oh PUHLEEZE ...
Here's another one that's been done to death. I am SICK of her and her "yummo" and "sammies". BLEAGH.

RE: Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
*shrug* Thing is, it feels genuine to me. That's just how she is. So I don't mind her generally silliness. I'd much rather watch her than mean chefs who treat others like they're sub-human.

RE: Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
By the way, the Hamburger And Onion Stuffed Bread recipe that's posted in here is a Rachael Ray. :)

RE: Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
Oh, and so is the Honey Chicken Over Snow Pea Rice recipe.

RE: Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
From now on I will put the name of the chef in the recipe title. Sorry about any confusion. :)

Her cookbooks
I can't say I am crazy about her cookbooks, my daugher has one of them and though it was interesting to look thru nothing really jumped out at me.

I will say, she does have a beautiful smile.

My Favorite Famous Chef
I love Rachael Ray and I think her 30-minutes meal idea is a good one, especially for working women who don't really have the time to prepare drawn out meals with everything else they have to do during the day. Rachael looks like my oldest daughter and I think she's funny, she always has a good time while she's cooking, even with her busy schedule.
I have all but the last 2 cookbooks she's published and those 2 just came out, so I'll have them soon, too.
I use her recipes a lot and if I post any of them, I'll try to remember to include her name in the title, rather than just the description, so you don't have to click on the recipe to find out who wrote it. I wouldn't want to offend the Rachael haters!

RE: Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
Hey, Sallyjo - and welcome! :)

I usually try to include chef names in recipe titles, too. It helps during the search. I'll fix those recipes I've posted that are hers.

Looking forward to seeing your posted recipes!

RE: Rachael Ray - talk and recipes
I am beginning to enjoy some of the other chefs more, because they fix things that I would actually fix. I'm kinda wimpy when it comes to the hot peppers, etc., but those things are easily left out, or modified. But I have taken some great tipes from Rachel Ray. The 2 BEST things I learned from Rachel Ray 30 minute meals were: #1 Using the Garbage Bowl! In my kitchen, that is a HUGE time & step saver! #2, is to let the meat come to room temp before cooking. (I know, they all say that, but she said WHY)! (The reason is that it toughens the meat to go right from cold to a hot pan, it is also more likely to stick if cold).

Talk talk talk
I love her recipes. But HER VOICE. IT is said she really got her start only cause her mom is a writer for food network. If she was only quieter...getting fake..I use to love her but I cant even stand the sound of her voice. I do buy the books and copy from food tv for my files...pass by her show
