Last night I made Italian Seasoned Kale Chips, which were pretty tasty. I need to write up the recipe...

Here in the Northeast, we had a great summer for tomotoes and melons, and I found a vendor at the farmers' market who grows fresh lima beans and okra! (He probably thinks I have a very big family because I was buying limas by the half-bushel.)
I was a vegetarian for 40 years. However, two years ago I researched arthritis on the web and kept reading about salmon and Omega 3, so I started to eat some fish again. At first it was a novelty, then it got a bit boring. Now I just cook salmon, though I eat other fish occasionally in restaurants.

i've also heard that when you're a teenager (i'm fifteen), it can be detrimental to your health. does anyone know anything about that?

I've been a vegetarian a little less than a year and am running out of ideas for quick meals for my husband and I. Unfortunately, my husband doesn't like Indian food or we would eat it several times a week.
Where do most of you shop for ingredients? I have browsed some recipes but some of the ingredients are totally foreign to me. Thanks for any input.

I've only been on this site for a few weeks, and I've found so many fast and easy recipes that have turned out great. That's why I like this site--it has so many practical recipes that working women and men are making on a regular basis. I've also been helped, over the years, by taking local cooking classes where I've learned to use new ingredients. For example, some years ago I took a beginner's course in macrobiotic cooking. I never became macro., but it changed the whole way I cook and doubled the kinds of produce and other ingredients I use.
