He hosted a TV cooking show for a number of years called "The Urban Peasant" and was well loved by anyone who came to know his gentle, warm humour and true talent in front of a stove. He published many cookbooks over the years and I happily have several of them in my collection. May the Good Lord rest you in peace, good sir James ... you will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to have met you.
