I will describe them to you because I would really appreciate help converting the flavours and textures of these chocolates into a cake recipe! So for all those of you out there that love a recipe challenge and love CAKE, here it is.
The middle of the chocolate is a hazelnut. Surrounding the hazelnut is a creamy white chocolate mixture that is a little bit runny - evaporated milk might do it in a cake recipe, mixed with icing sugar and/or white chocolate. The next layer is wafer-like, it reminds me of the wafer in Coffee Crisp bars. The next layer is the the hard white chocolate shell and the whole chocolate is rolled in coconut.
I really don't think that the wafer layer is important to the flavour and could be omitted for a cake. But a white cake with the hazelnuts, the creamy layer in the centre, the white chocolate icing and the coconut on top would very closely imitate the flavours of the chocolate. The creamy layer is the one that is deterring me from trying this.
Anyone interested in trying it????

Make up a regular, two layer chocolate cake, using maybe my Death by Chocolate recipe. Torte the two layers once cooled, and then fill them with Nutella. Just stir it up and spread it on. Then get about 8 oz. of hazelnuts, LIGHTLY toast them in a non-stick skillet. Chop 'em up.
For the MIDDLE layer filling, mix up about 1/4 cup evaporated milk, 1/4 tsp. vanilla, and enough powdered sugar to get the right consistency for a filling. Use that for the filling betweent the middle layer. Then drop those chopped up hazelnuts all over that.
So here's how it goes, bottom to top: bottom layer, nutella, next layer, hazelnut/milk filling, next layer, nutella filling, top layer then frosting.
Frost it up with my chocolate death frosting....OMG.
Now you've got ME wanting one. Thanks, Bea! :-}

Where in the world have you had such a decadent cake? This one if it actually exists should be part of heaven, because if it were in front of me right now, I would..well I can't tell you....since my mouth would be too full of the cake to tell you - lol.

I have built quite the reputation (lol) for doing wierd cakes, luxurious flavors, and making a lot from scratch. Most cakers around here are good, but they don't do it like I do, lol.
I will put this on my menu as a flavor now. GREAT POST, BEA!! :-)

So, although your recipe sounds fabulous, WOW does it sound fabulous and I'm going to make it too, I would have to make some changes to get it exactly like the chocolates I crave. I could make a white cake, but I couldn't use Nutella because that's too dark. I was just looking at recipes and came across a recipe from -- I think it was Chefmeow, or maybe Henrie, for Dulce du Leche. I wonder if I could use that mixed with some melted white chocolate for the filling. That would give the taste that you get from the chocolate -- it reminds me of condensed milk - that's what it is - condensed milk.
And of course the icing would have to be a white chocolate icing. Do you have a recipe for one??
I bow to you Bake-Meisters!!
