Glad to know others have lids and no bottoms and bottoms without lids. I thought I was the only one with that particular gremlin plaguing her kitchen cabinets. Do you all have the little gremlin that runs off with the lemon reamer or the microplane? You know you have one, but you'll be darned if you can find it.

Mimi...any hair styling advice for me? I have Looong hair. I usually cut it when it gets long enough to sit on. At one time, it reached my thighs. Rml, You don't want me to go there. I had allowed my hair to grow during a moment of insanity. It was so nice to have my shorter hair back. It's much easier to take care of, just wash and dry quickly and it's so light. I'm sure your neck would love you.
If you can't bear taking all your hair off, why not take half off. Think of the deserving children you could help by donating that hair.
Try on some wigs to see what you might look like with the shorter hair. You might like it. You might be due for a change and this might be it.
If you've really been thinking about doing something, then do it, if not maybe just trim it up a few inches. Haven't you seen those makeovers with ladies with the very long hair? They are brand new women afterwards.

rml.....my daughter had really long straight hair like yours and just recently she got one of those new cuts where it's short in the back and goes longer in the front......She also donated her hair to Locks of love.....She loves it....Says it's so much easier to deal with.
I remember when she was little, having to cut her beautiful long hair because she fell asleep with bubble gum in her mouth and it ended up in her hair...Wow, that was a flash back.....

Thanks Mimi....I keep going back and forth on whether to cut it or not. Hubby likes it long. His grandmother had long hair and wore it up, so I remind him of his Grandmother :)
Hi Wynne! that happened to me, in elementary school...riding on the bus, the kid sitting behind me, put gum in my hair. My Mother managed to get most of it out and only had to cut out a small chunk. Kids can be sooo mean.

Just called the school and talked to the principal. He was aghast. Thank goodness. Not only that, it was at half staff for most of yesterday....guess the janitor didn't tie it up properly and it slipped in the wind. I must be ancient. We used to have our Eagle scouts do Flag duty every day. Guess we were too nerdy for words. But this was an appalling display, no respect at all. We shall see what happens. Girl is stalking the flag pole after school.

I am glad to see that some of our youth are being taught to respect the flag like we were taught. I remember my 5th grade teacher telling us a flag had to be burned if it touched the ground! The schools used to teach that, we used to say the pledge of allegiance, and everything. Much different world that we live in now, huh?
