Super Sunday Savories?
I'm making Lushvk's jellyroll meatloaf. Mashed cauliflower as my side. Chopped romaine, cukes and tomatoes with linebb956 La Feria's secret sauce (added some parmesan cheese and a dash of hot sauce) I think I might make that dark chocolate cake by desertgypsy, if I have time. Going to Lowe's today for molding and paint. Have a honey-do list a mile long.

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
Sounds great,as usual NYM!

We are having steak, oven french fries and asparagus I found yesterday for 1.99.

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
Oh, good deal Pat. I love asparagus. Still haven't figured out how to freeze it so it isn't mushy. Anyone? Have you ever made garlic fries? those are terrific with steak. Sounds delicious any way you fix it. Have a great day.

Super Sunday Savories?
where can I find the recipe for garlic FF's I would love to try them... I am thinking of making egg plant parm with the good think meat sauce I made yesterday - (I havent made that in a long dog's age - maybe 6 years?!?
and to think my honey's going to help me in the kitchen - got to thank my kitchen fairy that I have a new roll of paper towels - with him in the kitchen, anything can happen...and it might not even be with me - lol

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
We are having the chicken curry with cauliflower that I posted last night. We love curry!
I might ry something with apples for dessert, if there is time.
Hubby's in the kitchen fixing bacon and eggs for breakfast, with canned biscuits. I should have quite a mess to clean up after he's done, as I can hear the grease popping everywhere...and he doesn't know how to clean it up at all.
I think I had better go in and see how it's going, just not listen to it. :)
Oh, and we are OUT of paper towels and forgot to get more yesterday.....boooooo.

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
Hubby and I came home yesterday, from the store....Teen was on the computer in the living room. I walked into the kitchen....There were Red splatters covering the ceiling! I immediately went ballistic.....What the Hell?????
Apparently, I had an open can of tomato sauce in the fridge. It fell out and splattered everywhere. Teen just didn't realize that it also splattered all over the ceiling. Busted!

NYM, I made the Jellyroll meatloaf a few days ago. My family Loved it. It's a new favorite. My Parrot even went crazy over it. She would chew on a piece of the meatloaf and make the Mmmmmmm sound. Too Funny!

My dinner tonight...Steak, Artichokes, salad. I don't do dessert, so the family....on their own.

TP, I love curry but can't get hubby to eat it.

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
My neighbor came over yesterday with some steak tips for me because I did her a favor last week so we're having them for supper.....Gonna make a stir fry out of them...No dessert here either...

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
I just cook one of those big 2 lb. bags frozen shoestrings in the oven (on my pizza stone) until very hot and crispy and then I give them a toss in a large stainless bowl with about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of melted very garlicky butter (homemade garlic butter, posted) and a ton of chopped parsley and coarse kosher salt, cracked freshh pepper. Like I told Pat.....baking is good, dousing in butter is not. But they are so decadently delicious.

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
NYM---Would you just come down here and cook for me?? Please?? I could make you a cake or something...LOL! Your menus always sound so delicious!

Those fries are right up my alley, lol.

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
NYM,she is right. Your recipes always sound wonderful!!

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
Yeah.....I never ever thought to use my pizza stone for fries....What a great idea...:)

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
Pizza stone is a great idea!

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
I use my pizza stone for everything....it is black from so much use. It is as seasoned as a cast iron skillet and stuff just slides off of it now.

Why, hunny bunnies, you all are making me blush. Thank you very much. Now, I can't remember who first made the garlic fries.....but I think it was Tyler Florence in his Food 911 days with the Argentina soccer team. They made a garlic herb sauce with olive oil? Dang, I can't remember the name of it. But that is what inspired garlic fries.

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
I am using my pizza stone today. Great idea!!

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
See, it's not always about the recipes but the technique......I use my pizza stone to bake cookies.....do you?

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
Fries came out great on the stone!

Super Sunday Savories?
Definitely going to get me some of those frozen fries next time doing big shopping...I will let you know how it goes..... and ditto on a pizza stone - I miss mine - lost somewhere many years ago from a move....eggplant parm heating up - and oh so naughty blondies with coconut and butterscotch morsels and cashews for dessert (already made and test tasted for quality assurance...)

those stir fry sirloin tips are sounding good.... got to make stir fry this week to go through some frozen rump

have a great night all!

RE: Super Sunday Savories?
Showing my country roots today. Made a big ole pot of pinto beans, mashed potatoes and cornbread and Mountain Dew Cake for dessert.
