America's Test Kitchen
I recently got my first ATK season book, that also comes with the season series.
We enjoy watching the program on PBS, to see the advice on equipment, food, etc.
This season had info on Parmesan cheese, which I found very interesting and will no longer be using the CHEAP grated Parmesan and will spend extra money on better cheese.

RE: America's Test Kitchen
Olive oil is another product they featured this year and I will be buying different olive oil, after my eyes have been opened.
You've gotta read it for yourselves, if you didn't see the program.

Ohhh, honey, we have an Italian market called Mazzaro's and they do an olive oil tasting that is wonderful. They actually have two entire aisles of just olive oil. And the best vinegars anyone can find. And their cheese department is superb. Do you get their magazine? I was going to subscribe and I don't remember why I didn't. Is the book awesome?

Cast iron skillets
Hubby was quite pleased to discover his latest cast iron skillet was the preferred skillet. Wow, the info that they provided for seasoning the skillets is well worth the money that was spent

GET THE BOOK!

Cooks Illustrated
Is the name of the ATK magazine. They also have Cooks Country.
All are worth having!
Their recipes are good, as are the "articles".

Balsamic vinegars
Very good info on the OLD vinegars vs fake balsamics.
