Well, anyone who 'knows' me by now, knows I don't eat fish. Nor seafood.... But, it's sooooo good for you! I cook it quite regularly for hubby, and for my son & daughter when they are here, all of whom LOVE it.
I don't like liver, kidneys, etc. But I make Steak & Kidney Pie all the time for hubby.
That's when cooking is hardest, when you are used to tasting as you go, but can't bring yourself to try what you're cooking...Keeps your skills sharp, though :)

I will not make anything that has to do with innards...

When I was 6 years old I ran out into my grandpa's kitchen in Crete and ran right into a table that had a boiled goat head (eyes and all) . It fell on me and needless to say I TOTALLY freaked out!!! My grandpa said he'd never forget the look on my face and I said I'd never forget the look on the goat's face! LOL

It smells like wet dog when it's cooking. To be quite honest, I just don't DO organ meat anymore--not since mortuary science college, anyway. It's very rich and my husband loves it, but I can't be in the same room with it after awhile.

I like DILL pickles in egg salad, potato salad, etc.; and Bryan likes sweet. SO...when I make something like that, I make two bowls, so he can have his nasty old sweet pickles....now, THAT'S true love if I ever heard of it! LOL
mrtnzangel8 2 months, 2 weeks ago said: RE: Making dishes you don't like I'm with you sparow. I don't like sweet pickles or pickle relish. We do have a jar in the fridge cuz the dad here likes to make tartar sauce with it....ugh!
Here this will gross you out....my 5 year old loves veggies and will try anything at least once. She came home from school one day and told me they had pickle relish out for the condiments for lunch and she tried it. Loved it and came home and asked for a bowl for her afternoon snack! gak!

I have to admit....I Love Pickles, any way...sweet, sour, dill, hot....veggie pickle, anything pickled. YUM. I can't eat or cook guts or lamb. Hubby only gets it when we go out to eat. I have a few dishes that I don't mind making, I just don't eat them....Lasagna or any casserole. (I don't like my flavors to mingle). I'll cook just about anything that doesn't look back at me....I just won't eat it.

I hate Tuna, I will make it for hubby but not without being dramatic about it.
