Seems to be just hubby and me for tonight's supper, kid is working at the ball park-volunteer time for her church trip. Hubby is getting a bad case of cabin fever....I wonder if he wants to go out for Italian? That got a big NOOOOOOOO from him. Maybe I'll treat him to a a philly cheese steak with extra mushrooms out at Philthy Phil's at the beach....a little sunset watching and greasy messy sandwich and a lovely chilled beer.

What's is on your table today?

NYM....Sounds like things are coming along with hubby....You are in my prayers..

Took out 2 chicken breasts and haven't decided what to do with them yet....Any suggestions...:)

momma - sounds like a night off for you two would do you both good - especially watching the sunset over extra mushrooms on a philly cheese steak...

I have lots of left over roasted chicken - I might try rml's chicken cheese melts...

and wynne - check out noirs chicken with garlic and lime as an idea - I have made it twice, once with pork - went down very well!

Wynne, sent you two chicken recipes that are all time favorites....chicken ala maria and chicken calvados. Both can be cut down to smaller portions.

Can't talk hubby into leaving the house yet. I'm still harboring a night out. He is being particularly stubborn today.

wow I checked out the chicken ala maria recipe -sounds great - AND it reminded me I have prosciutto I must use since your recipe mentioned ham - so I will make penne ala vodka with the obvious prosciutto and add the left over chicken to it.

thanks momma for giving me ideas for dinner tonight!

We have to get wine for a BBQ tomorrow, so I'll get a tiny bottle of vodka while Im there - also making a few things for the BBQ tomorrow such as Shirley Oma's Strawberry whipped sensation since that went over so well (ok so I ate most of it! and it went over very well with me) and a mediterranean eggplant dip with grilled pita bread.

Unpacking and sorting thru a weeks worth of mail. Think Chinese take out for us tonight. I'll figure something nice for Mother's Day! Have a small prime-rib in freezer,hum!

BLT's sound so summery and since it is in the 60's I think that is what we will have. Picked up some fresh corn, maybe I'll grill that and throw some asparagus on too. Have to look up Shiley's Strawberry whipped sensation, that should work for dessert.

Ok, y'all! When a short little fat lady is knocking on y'all's doors this evenin---that will be ME wanting DINNER!! lol Sounds yumalicious at all of the tables tonight!

We scored last night at the mark-down bin!! They had some prawns (I got 13 of them for $5.00) and some pre-seasoned pork loin chops. I fried those up (since it was raining bats and onions out last night, grrr) with some marinade. Made homemade scalloped potatoes and asparagus. Dinner ended up costing about $12.00 for all of us, not too bad for that good level of yumm...I wanted to grill it, but the bats and onions comin down said "no."

Tonight is going to be roast pork, leftover scalloped potatoes and some mixed greens from the freezer packs I made a few weeks back!

Heavens, I'm stuffed. Went to Dockside Dave's. I had a grouper sandwich minus the bun. Hubby had a ginormous Philly cheesesteak and we split an order of crab cakes. Got there just before the mad dinner rush and left in time for what was supposed to be nice sunset at Pass-a-grille, but it was too darn cloudy, no pretty sunset for us. Now I feel like a slug and can't fathom getting comfortable anytime soon until something digests. I should know better.
