You buy your first four cookbooks *which I did today* for $1.00 each, then over I think the next two years, you only HAVE to buy two more cookbooks.

Also, they have another deal where if you buy a book between June 1 and the end of June, you get a FREE book in July!

I ended up buying a LOT of cookbooks through this club. For me, it's better if I read them in person a bit before I buy them. I've given away a lot of the ones I got through the club because they sounded better in their description than in fact. If you aren't good about returning a book you don't want, I'd suggest you don't join. Also, even though I would return the card or go on their website and indicate I did not want a selection, half of the time I'd get it anyway. Then when I asked to cancel, after buying the obligatory books, they put me on a different program for six months, that if I didn't buy a selection (and they won't mail anything unless I requested it) then they would cancel my membership. Guess what? In month six I bought another book. My own fault, but I finally got out now and I'm staying out. I'm spending my money more wisely now and the postman likes me much better too! ;)
