It truly is nature's antibiotic. I have found on many occassions, especially on a Friday night when I can't get to the doctor until Monday, garlic has relieved many cold symptoms and ended the viral cycle. But back to the food. My fave is pasta with garlic and a good olive oil. On occassion, I will throw in olives and cheese. But pure and simple is still the best for me.

My fave deli would prepare that for one of their customers and it would smell up the whole place, plus outside and then they added the hot sauce for another customer and when I fixed it for Hubby and friends, I added the shrimp plus tomatoes, as I thought it just had to have them. I had to tone down the garlic for the written recipe but trust me, I made it with at least double the garlic! Your mention of olives got me to thinking and I bet black olives would certainly taste good in that recipe also! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
