Alot of people think having gray hair is a sign of old age. Even my daughter commented that MY gray hair was making her feel older.lol Grey hair runs in our family.If you look in my grandson's thick head of hair ,he has them too.

I dyed my hair when I want it to be a even color...but dont mind the gray. ITS a makeup thing ...not a age thing.I think you are as young as you feel.I think health is a better marker of age.
My MOM had pretty white hair.Me I have the dirty gray hair.Well on my dayoff Friday,I got it cut and dyed. There was a "get the haircut free with dye job"deal going on. I needed a haircut but wasnt thinking about dye.But it was a great deal so I did it.It looks great,everyone says I look younger.They are mostly talking about the fact that I got rid of gray.What I love is the haircut.I went short because of the heat,and she did a good job.I guess it was a easy way to lose a pound of two(my hair was getting long).

I love gray hair on men and women and wouldn't mind myself, but mine's coming in white so I guess I'll be liking that!

Lucky that it blends with the blonde and it looks like highlights.......get compliments on it all the time.......love your color....which I think is amusing! I guess I got my parents genes in that department....both grayed very late.

Pleclare, I won't let my hair go gray either. I have a few gray strands that pop up, so I just yank them.

Pat2me, I love gray hair on men and other women, I just don't think it would look good on me. In fact, my boyfriend has a full head of gray hair and it's very sexy! He's 38 with a very youthful face so I love the contrast. Everybody thinks that he dyed his hair that way on purpose it's great! I would say his hair style is sort of like George Clooney, I love it. . . . . . .

Meileen.....I was born a red head,but it has turned in the last few years to a dark brown with a lot of gray and alittle red. I always dye it a med.red. But I wanted a change and the hairdresser invented a chocolate / deep red.You would think it chestnut brown far away...close you would think its much more red than brown. Not a orange red at all. Cant see any gray at all( I had 80% GRAY). My sister-in-law is near my age and dont have any gray,it runs late in her family.

I have a few but I just get my hair colored and !POOF! they go away...no worries..

My grandmothter had BEAUTIFUL snow white hair...I get the ugly salt and pepper thing. **sigh** I started getting gray early, so I've been friends with Ms. Clairol for years! ;) Have a great day everyone!

I hate to be graphic (I realize this is a cooking forum,) but my first grey hairs popped up on my................nether regions. WTF??? To add insult to injury, I'm going through the balding pubis thing. Swell. You could draw a little smiley face on my pubis and you'd have Richard O'Brien (Riff Raff) from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Re: what little hair I have on my head, my temples are starting to sprout a few grey hairs. I'm going to leave it alone. I stopped caring if I look like a goblin a long time ago.

Mblamr, I shouldn't read your posts while I am in bed with hubby sound asleep and baby in the crib sleeping semi-peacefully next to me (she is teething)! I nearly choked on my spit I was giggling so hard. Thankfully, (after 5 kids), I didn't wet myself too!

I'd have to agree with Zanna, its all in how you carry yourself and if it makes you feel good. I like experimenting with color, but really just color around my natural hue. Reddish brown, auburn, light auburn. Depends. I've gone back to my "fall color" of darker reddish brown which seems to have got the most comments lately. I find myself plagued with all kinds of grey strands when I let it grow out for too long - and then I dye again...But I've seen some very attractive people with all grey.
