Not only for baking
Butter is better than margarine for spreading on bread. Are we allowed to say margarine here or is it a dirty word? If anyone tries to bring it into my house, the "marge alarm" immediately sounds.
Also for cooking or frying or evem melting over baked potatoes or corn-on-the-cob.

This groups name should also be called butter is best....

though I try to avoid using too much butter, I only use butter in my baking unless for those few times I make a pie crust from scratch, then its crisco... oooh another dirty word... lol

I'm one of those who feels that the person who wants a low fat, low calorie birthday cake should just eat less of one made correctly. Mostly, i think the right ingredients should be used. that could be Crisco or even

There are a few cake recipes that I have that are chiffon or sponge cake based and the butter there is absent! So, maybe the name of the group should change to . . . . oh, I don't know!

What the heck! Butter is better!!!
