I place the sake bottle in a large bowl or tub of hot water for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then I taste it carefully and let it cooled slightly in the sake cup at room temperature until it is the right temperature for me. Hope this helps. Note: a sake cup is the same as a chinese tea cup used to serve green tea (blue and white as an example).
