My husband loves it. We've had Pollo ala diabla and other "diabla" named dishes at different Mexican restaurants, but I would like to make it for him. I tried last week from a recipe (only 1 found) I got off the internet, but it wasn't right. Too tomatoey, not the right taste. ANYONE?????????

Anyway, I gave up and called the place, and he said he would make me a batch when i wanted it. Something about a special ingredient from Mexico - blah blah blah

2–3 individual chipotle chiles in adobo sauce* 1 tablespoon adobo sauce (from the canned chiles) 1 1/2 cups tomato juice *Embasa sells 7-ounce cans of chipotle chilies in adobo sauce in the Hispanic section of supermarkets, and at Mexican and Latin markets.
Note: This recipe produces a lightly spicy sauce. Turn up the heat by adding more chiles and adobo sauce, or using a little less tomato juice.
Directions
To make the diabla sauce, combine the canned chipotle chilies and tomato juice in a blender and puree until smooth. This is used to marinate meat.
