Tues 11/18 what's for dinner???
OK ... so what's up for dinner tonight? We're having planovers of Chicken w/ Broccoli Alfredo. Yummy! Just have to cook up a bit more chicken but that's it. The rest is thrown into the microwave and reheated or maybe I'll toss it into the pan with the "new" chicken and reheat that way.
Share away! You never know who you'll inspire for tonight or tomorrow's dinner.

Last night I made up Cowgirl Burritos they came out great. It was fun to work in the kitchen with my hubby. That's where we do some catching up on the day.

RE: Tues 11/18 what's for dinner???
LOL Lana! Have some left, c'mon over!!!
Laurie...I don't have a recipe, so to speak. Never comes out the same way twice! I use cube steak, dredge in flour, the beaten eggs, then seasoned flour (what ever seasoning I feel like putting in at the time!) Fry in aboout an inch of oil in a hot skillet, 3-4 mins. a side. Hope this helps :) :) :) Like Lana said"...BEYOND GOOD" !!!

RE: Tues 11/18 what's for dinner???
Thanks lana, I might try it.. My husband likes steak cutlets I make mine by pounding the meat flat and dipping them in an egg & milk mix and then a mix of seasoned breadcrumbs and grated cheese, then fry of course.

RE: Tues 11/18 what's for dinner???
We are having tacos tonight per request. here is a little Frugal Foodie tip for you. cook up about 1 cup of brown rice before hand. Then when your sauteing the ground beef and seasonings add it in. It makes more taco filling and it is a cheap filler that makes the tacos a little healthier.

RE: Tues 11/18 what's for dinner???
Great tip, Laurie. And so easy, but I would have never thought of it!!! We usually use refried beans.....maybe all three, hmmm....... Thanks!

RE: Tues 11/18 what's for dinner???
Brown rice is my best friend, I love Uncle bens the best, it cooks in 25 minutes and you can get a huge bag for under ten dollars. I was thinking about the beans but I think they would bother my hubbys stomach.
I tried to start a thread for everyones tips for stretching the food dollar but it never took off... maybe I will try it again.
