Dads Crockpot Chili No Tomato Recipe
A great non spicy chili that is made today and served tomorrow, delicious served over rice or with garlic bread.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 large onion (diced)
  • 1 large green pepper (diced)
  • 2 Tbls. ground chili powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 beef bullion cubes
  • 3 15oz. cans pinto beans (undrained)
  • 3 15oz. cans great northern beans (undrained)
  • 1 Level Tbls. cornstarch mixed in 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste

Directions
  1. In a large crockpot combine beans,bullion cubes, water, onions, green peppers,chili powder.
  2. Fry ground beef and pork sausage and drain off fat.
  3. Add meat to bean mixture and cook on high for 6 hours
  4. Reduce heat to low for an additional 2 hours
  5. Turn off and let cool for about 15 minutes then stir in cornstarch and water mix
  6. Set aside to cool then refrigerate overnight.
  7. Can be eaten right away but I find its much better when reheated the next day.
