Nope. You can search for and discover recipes just fine without signing up. But of course there are some pretty useful things you get access to by joining. See the next question.

As a member you are able to do some extra things:

• Bookmark and organize recipes that you enjoyed, or maybe want to make in the future.
• Get auto-generated shopping lists.
• Find cooks who make things you like and get notified whenever they upload new recipes.
• Share your recipes with the world (or just a private group, like friends & family)

While using the site you'll come across people who post recipes that are right up your alley. With the click of a button, you can "subscribe" to get notified whenever this person uploads something new.

So when you login you'll have a fresh set of recipes you'll probably love waiting for you.

Yes. While loggedin go to your settings page and click the "privacy" tab.

Yes. While loggedin click the "delete" link on the comment. Note: this will not (and you cannot) delete ratings on your recipes.

We will automatically detect this sort of behavior and low ratings will be deleting and the reviewer's account will be locked.

While loggedin, select a group from the "Groups" box in the right hand column of the recipe page.

This is no longer an option. To add a recipe to a group you need to be the recipe uploader and a member of the group.

You can try to send a private message to the group owner to see if they would be willing to add you as a moderator so you can take over administration of the group.

The best option is to find an active group member and see if they would be willing to become a moderator.

Currently groups cannot be deleted. This may change in the future.

Next to all comments (on a recipe, profile, or groups) there is a button that says "flag this". Click this and we'll investigate the report.
