Bulgur Meatloaf

- 1 cup bulgur (dry) shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onions shopping list
- 3 tsp minced garlic shopping list
- 2 lbs extra lean ground beef (or ground sirloin) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup grated carrots shopping list
- 1 tbsp ground flax shopping list
- 3 egg whites shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp ground oregano shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Combine bulgur and boiling water and let sit while assembling the rest of the ingredients. Mix remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Drain bulgur and squeeze dry.
- Add to the bowl. Shape into loaf in a baking pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until juices run clear. May need 2 pans. (I have an extra long loaf pan I used) Let stand for about 10 minutes to set.
