Cream of Pumpkin Soup

- 1 (15 oz.can of pkin puree shopping list
- 1 c. of chopped onion shopping list
- 3 tbsp. of margarine, softened shopping list
- 1 tbsp. of brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. of ground cinnamon shopping list
- 4 slices of whole wheat bread shopping list
- 2 (14.5 oz.) cans of chicken broth shopping list
- 1 tsp. of salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. of ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. of ground ginger shopping list
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 c. of heavy whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- First preheat 400 degrees.
- Next add the butter, bown sugar, and cinamon.
- You want spread butter over each bead slice.
- Now butter side up, put bread on baking sheet in the over for about 10 min. letting bread get crisp.
- Next cut each slice in small triangles.
- Then you want to saute onion in butter over medium flame.
- From here you can cdd in broth, letting this stir.
- Let this come to a boil, and let this simmer about 15 min.
- Now you want to puree the mixture in a blender until creamy.
- Then you can add creamy blend back into the pan adding last can of broth, pumpkin, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and pepper.
- Let this stir well, coming to a boil.
- Lower flame to low and cook approx. 10 min.
- Finally, add in whipping cream and heat.
- Ladle in m y bowls and serve!
