The Bravy Aka Bbq Gravy Recipe

The Bravy Aka Bbq Gravy Recipe
I created this dish because i didnt want spaghetti.and to complete a longing for an ex-coworkers meatballs. My family loves them. You can eat them alone, with bread, on rice, on mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs hamburger (not ground chuck or ground roundm HAMBUGER)
  • 2 large onions (more of less if u like or dislike, more better tho.
  • salt
  • pepper
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • oil
  • 2 bottles of bbq sauce. one should be a little spicy, think open pit
  • mustard
  • sugar
  • sorry i dont have many measurements i made it up and never wrote it down. the onion and garlic powder should be added is if you're making a hamburger so however much you use for that.

Directions
  1. Dice onion and sautee with a little oil and salt.
  2. Cool onions, the freezer works best and fastest
  3. Crumble the meat in a large bowl, add cooled onion and seasoning.
  4. Mix well
  5. Use fingers or small scoop to form the meatballs. They should be no more than a inch in size. You can do all at one time if you use a cookies sheet but i just make them as i go.
  6. Heat the skillet and add about a quarter inch of oil.
  7. Start in one corner of the skillet and place balls giving a little room. go clockwise and by the time you get to the last one the first should be ready to turn the first one over.
  8. Turn the balls with a spoon or fork, DO NOT SMASH OR POKE. Brown on all sides or atleast 3. DO NOT FULLY COOK.
  9. In a separate pot pour bottles of bbq sauce.
  10. Add 2 good squirts of mustard
  11. Add the same amount of sugar as you did mustard. I usually pour it on top to make sure.
  12. Stir sauce
  13. Heat sauce on low, adding meatballs as they brown. Dont stir the sauce once you add the balls, they are tender and will break.
  14. Once you add all the browned balls to the sauce let it cook for atleast 20 minutes, shaking the pot every 5 minutes to stop sticking and burning. Keep the heat low.
  15. The longer you let it cook the better it taste.
  16. Serve with bread, rice, or mashed potatoes. It tastes delicious either way
