How to make it

  • Prepare my marinara sauce (in advance or fresh depending on how much time you have)
  • Take a good quality sausage, sliced thinly. I used chicken pepperoni as I dont eat pig products
  • Prepare your pasta as per the direction on the pack. If fresh, very little time will be required, so do this at the end.
  • Drain the pasta once done and add extra virgin olive oil while hot and toss
  • Use no more than two cups of sauce and add your very thinly sliced sausage into it and warm it through
  • Add in the pasta and mix thouroughly
  • This should serve 6 helpings (preferable in white bowls - the colur contrast is beautiful)
  • Shave over some parmesan cheese and sprinkle a few basil leaves
  • Your starter is ready. Serve it piping hot
