Cheesy Chicken Potata

- cooked chicken (boneless, skinless) ( I used a family size package) shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 6 T. butter shopping list
- 1-2 onions, diced shopping list
- 6 T. flour shopping list
- 24 oz. container of sour cream ( or use 3 cups of milk...normaly) shopping list
- 1 pkg. cheddar cheese, shredded shopping list
- 1/2 pkg. of cheese curds ( I say half because that is what was left in the package..lol). shopping list
- 1 tsp. dry mustard shopping list
How to make it
- You can cook the chicken ahead of time..or whatever.
- Dice chicken and place in a 11x13 pan
- Sauce:
- Melt butter in sauce pan and saute onions
- Add flour and stir together well
- Pour in sour cream or milk...mix together.
- Heat for a bit
- Add cheeses and mustard.
- Pour sauce over chicken and put in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes.
- Hopefully somewhere along the way you prepared some mashed potatoes and are finishing them up before the chicken dish is ready.
- I served the Chicken dish over my potatoes...yum....it turned out tasty...but very cheesy....very...so adjust to your liking.
- I may try it sometime over wild rice or pasta.
- I forgot to add garlic to the sauce...that would have been good...and also, maybe some cajun...or just add it separately for those who do not care for the kick.
