One Pot English Breakfast

- Use enough ingredients for four people (as you would use in a normal plated breakfast) shopping list
- pork Sausagemeat shopping list
- bacon shopping list
- mushrooms shopping list
- eggs shopping list
- tomatoes (I use tinned apricots as I don't like tomatoes, adds a scrummy sweetness that goes well with the sausagemeat) shopping list
- bread shopping list
How to make it
- Gently fry bacon
- Gently fry mushrooms and place both to one side
- Roll out sausagemeat and place in a layer on the bottom of the lasagne dish
- Slice tomatoes (or apricots if preferred) and place a layer on top of sausage meat
- Spoon fried bacon and mushrooms on top of tomato/fruit
- Place sliced white bread over the top for the final layer. I tend to break it up a little and place it like a jigsaw as the edges become crispier by doing this
- Beat four eggs (or one per person), add a little milk and pout over the bread - alternatively dip the slices of bread in the egg mixture and then pour the rest of the mixture over the dish.
- Place dish in a warmed oven (200 degrees in Uk - think that's 400 degrees US style)
- Leave for between 30 - 45 minutes until the egg has set
- Serve hot
